Inch beach or Ínse, in Irish Gaelic, means Sea Meadow (Oilean Ínse – Island of Inch.) Inch is best known for its impressive and picturesque Blue Flag beach. It offers four miles, of golden sand and breath-taking scenery showcasing mountain, beach, valley and sea. As the beach is so long, you’ll never have to worry about it being overcrowded, especially in the current climate!
Fun fact! Inch beach is a sand spit jutting into the sea between the outer Dingle Bay and inner Castlemaine Harbour, overlooking the magnificent Iveragh and Dingle Peninsulas. No wonder why its inspired artists, poets, and writers who chose this stunning location for Hollywood films such as Ryan’s Daughter and Playboy of the Western World.
Here, you will be engulfed in the pure wildness and crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean. People come from all over the world to experience surfing on this famous beach.
