Often referred to as ‘The Jewel of the Ring of Kerry’ is this beautiful Village. Glenbeigh is cosily tucked in between the circuit of hills from Seefin mountain to Drung hill, also known as the ‘Glenbeigh horseshoe.’ It’s one of Kerry’s finest mountain sceneries. Immerse yourself in this stunning destination. If you’re looking for a family holiday or a romantic getaway, then our luxury holiday homes, Glenbeigh are the place for you.

There is a plethora of things to do here. Activities include playing golf, fishing, kayaking, horse riding and scenery walks. A favourite of ours includes a trip to Rossbeigh beach.  A beach which holds the blue flag status and stretches out six miles worth of pure golden sands.

Nearby Glenbeigh is Caragh Lake, a special area of conservation. It is a great spot for fishing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. You’ll be surrounded by the stunning landscape of the McGillicuddy Reeks, including the highest mountain in Ireland, Carrauntoohill.

Glenbeigh is on the The Kerry Way, a 180km walking trail that brings you all the way around the stunning Iveragh peninsula. Try the route from Glenbeigh to Kells. As you make your way to the shoulder of Drung Hill you will be high up with fabulous views of Dingle Bay and the Dingle peninsula. Once you reach the highest point there are extensive views to the Atlantic Ocean and Valentia Island. On descending you will enter a remote valley and find beauty and amazing silence.

The local people here are also friendly, so be sure to check out some of the great restaurants and pubs we have recommended in our ‘Eat and Drinks guide.’
