The most scenic horse race you’ll ever see, on the sands of a West Kerry beach

 When the tide is low enough, the beautiful beach of Beal Ban, near the village of Ballyferriter, becomes the most scenic race track and a traditional highlight of the social calendar. With market stalls, bouncy castles and best dressed competitions (just don’t wear heels that will sink in the sand!), it’s a great day out and a truly special experience. Continue the craic up in the village as the tide washes away the day, and the fun moves from the beach to the bars.
