Greg O’Mahoney has spent the last decade of summers working in Castlegregory, Co Kerry. His restaurant there, Gregory’s Garden, has become a must visit in the area offering a Mediterranean style menu with plenty of Irish twists. Greg cultivates his own vegetables in the restaurant’s adjacent garden, and sources meat and fish locally to ensure an unmissable culinary experience. Over the last ten winters, he’s clocked up cooking hours in Chapter One with Ross Lewis, L’Ecrivain with a Derry Clarke and Pichet in Dublin. Greg also has experience on the continent with winters spent in Bodega Alejandro and Mugartiz in San Sebastian. That Basque influence has become an integral part of his menu in Gregory’s Garden.
The front of house is looked after by Matthew. Matthew has worked with Greg for a couple of years now in both Dublin and Kerry. The service in Gregory’s Garden is attentive yet relaxed with a young and vibrant team of waiters and waitresses ensuring smiles all round.
