Want to know where to kick start your morning off the right way with the most amazing food and coffee in Nice?  Especially if you’re a coffee connoisseur like me! I say brunch, as if you’re on holiday you may have a slightly later wake up time than normal. Anyway, Nice is particularly well stocked with places to indulge in the famous breakfast/lunch hybrid and I am here to give you the low down on places to try! Whether you’re looking to try a more European style place or something just for the Instagram shots (don’t lie, we’re all guilty of this sometimes) then look no further.

Clay, Bonaparte

Let’s start with Clay, in Bonaparte. When I say you need to try this place, I mean you need to try this place! One of the best spots for breakfast and brunch in Nice, in my opinion. Their French toast is a must try, it’s delicious, my mouth waters even just thinking about it now and it’s been almost two months since my last trip to Nice. And for those speculoos lovers, they do an amazing speculoos latte. You’ll have to buy a second one to take away it’s that good. Fear not… if you don’t have a sweet tooth unlike me, they also have a range savoury dishes to choose from. Sit outside on the French outdoor tables and chairs on a hot summers day and watch the world go by.

Edmonds

A cosy Cafe that I spontaneously found wandering Nice! Their toasties are just perfection and are served up with a delicious side salad. They’re pink lemonade is an essential that you have to try.. so, refreshing on a hot day. Sit outside in the sunshine or take a seat in there cosy and warm interior, perfect for the gram!

Hobo

This one is in the heart of the Old town so makes the perfect pit stop on your way to the beach. It almost has a bohemian feel to it and it’s fairly small but while you’re in Nice, take advantage of dining the alfresco way! It’s extremely popular so be sure to head on down early to guarantee a spot. They sell coffee, cake, soups, sandwiches and lots of breakfast and brunch options too!

La Popote D’Ondine

This Café is a little bit more French but when in France, you must try some French delicacies, right?  The menu is of course in French, but the staff do speak a little English to help you. There are some combos that I usually wouldn’t put together such as salad with my Eggs benedict for breakfast, but I’m up for trying anything! They’re pastries are also amazing and not to mention they’re lattes which they can top with your name using chocolate powder. They’re sweeter breakfast like the pancakes also looked yummy but I opted for a more savoury option this time, maybe that will be another one to try on my next venture to Nice.
