Location
The attraction of the promenade des Anglais goes back to the days of Queen Victoria when it was designed by an Englishman. You can enjoy views over the Bais des Anges (Bay of Angels) and the stunning blue sea plus stroll down the promenade and enjoy the several kilometres of walkway lined with its characteristic blue chairs, joggers, roller bladers and cyclists. Azur Bleu is located in the Magnan area of the promenade. Grand hotels and historic apartment blocks typical of the French Riviera line the seafront. Rue de Californie is at the rear of the apartment has a selection of boulangeries, supermarkets and local restaurants. The bus stop is on your doorstep and you can access the Old Town of Nice in a few minutes using most of the regular bus services that pass your door. The 98 airport shuttle bus can also drop you off and pick you up outside. If you choose to stroll down the Promenade then the pedestrianised centre of Nice is approximately 20 minutes away and the Old Town just a few minutes more, but you wont be counting the minutes with the most stunning views over the sea to keep you occupied. There are public and beach bars and restaurants a plenty across the road. They tend to be a less busy and less expensive in this area so you can enjoy beach life without the crowds.
