Open plan living area

This luxurious family gated home has been finished to the highest standards. As you enter the hallway you will be struck by the beautiful cantilevered staircase. To your right is a very spacious open-plan kitchen, living and dining room with floor to ceiling sliding glass doors. Whether you are cooking in the large kitchen, which is fully equipped and a real paradise for those who love to cook or relaxing on the lovely white leather couches or dining at the elegant table with wonderful views, this is a space to enjoy and savour.

The sitting room has a large comfortable L shaped sofa to sink into, a contemporary wall mounted gas fire to add lots of cosiness and floor to ceiling sliding glass doors offering another unspoiled 180-degree view of the lake and an open patio area for sunbathing or outdoor dining. The perfect place to relax as a group and watch a movie.

Bedrooms/ Bathrooms

As you go up the stairs you will find the master suite to your right, with floor to ceiling glass and a sliding door to its own private patio overlooking the lake, you will wake up to amazing views of the lake and the mountains. This bedroom has a walk in wardrobe and a luxurious en suite bathroom.

To your left is another very spacious bedroom which has corner window views of the lake. This bedroom also has a walk in wardrobe and a very smart en suite bathroom.

On the ground floor are two more spacious bedrooms which have corner window views of the lake. They also have walk-in wardrobes and luxurious en suite bathrooms.

All of these bedrooms have Super King sized beds.

There is a 5th bedroom which sleeps two on the lower level equipped with its own patio door.

In addition, the property has an elegant spacious family bathroom on the ground floor with a free standing bath and a wheelchair friendly WC at the entrance hallway.

All bedrooms come with widescreen cable TV.

Outside

There is a large gas fire pit with a built in semi circle of seats around it, a stunning place to sit out together and watch the sunset and then the stars over the lake while warming yourselves around the fire.
If you are brave enough to fancy a swim in the lake just walk down the pathway in front of the house to the lakefront and jump in. You could launch your kayak or fishing boat from here as well. Or simply enjoy the sound of the water as you watch the drama of the west of Ireland light constantly changing over the lake and mountains beyond.

The area

Caragh Lake is at the centre of the Kerry ‘Reeks District’, an area of outstanding beauty with the highest mountain in Ireland, Carrauntoohil, and the majestic Mcgillicuddy Reeks mountain range. The perfect place to experience the beauty of the outdoors with climbing, hill walking, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, cycling, surfing on your doorstep.

Set just off the famous Ring of Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way, the lodge is an unforgettable base for your Irish holiday. It allows you to explore the untamed beauty of the South West of Ireland with its unspoiled coastlines, dramatic mountains, picturesque towns, fine dining experiences, world class golf courses and many more amenities.

The property is only 30 minutes from Kerry International Airport, 20 minutes from Killarney's wonderful lakes, an hour from the famous fishing town of Dingle and a mere 10 minutes from the Blue Flag Beach of Rossbeigh.

Local shops and restaurants.

There are exceptionally good restaurants in Killorglin, including the new Kingdom 1795 which is on its way to Michelin recognition. Killorglin also has a great fresh fish shop, butchers and delicatessen with local artisan foods
The cute village of Glenbeigh is ten minutes’ drive away, it has the fantastic Emilie’s, a bakery with great bread and cakes and a restaurant that has the most delicious sourdough pizzas as well as lots of other great food. Glenbeigh also has a lively pub and two hotels that are great for eating and drinking. There is also a shop for all your groceries and a great butcher’s counte

Touring

This is a fantastic location to tour the breathtaking scenery of the Ring of Kerry route around the Iveragh Peninsula, or head over to the Dingle peninsula and take the Slea Head drive. If you want to get active try the big 5 guided adventures of the Reeks district, climb Ireland’s highest mountain, kayak the length of Caragh Lake, Surf Inch Beach, cycle the Ring of the Reeks or stand-up paddle board on Cloon Lake.

Golf

This is also a great location for the famous links golf courses of Kerry. The renowned Dooks golf links is a 10 minute drive, the famous Ballybunion, Waterville and Tralee are also within easy reach.
