An Overview

Location, Location, Location! Orchard House has the best location in Dingle in the middle of all the activity but on a quiet street across from the adored Phoenix cinema. This delightful, unique home is newly renovated with a modern kitchen and contemporary bathrooms but keeps lots of the original townhouse features like the stained glass dividers and wooden floors. Whitewashed throughout it is bright and roomy with plenty of living space for eight to ten guests. It is hard to find such a large house in the heart of the town with a lush garden, off-street parking and delightful private courtyard … a truly great find!

Spaces
Bedrooms

Orchard House has four bedrooms. On the first floor at the rear of the house is the large master bedroom with its own mini lounge with a small sofa, table and chair, its own ensuite and two large floor to ceiling windows that overlook the gardens and town park. Also on the first floor is another double which lies at the front of the house overlooking Dykegate Lane. Across from this double is a large twin room also overlooking the famous cinema and street with a sofa bed and table. On the ground floor there is a twin room with an ensuite WC.

Bathrooms

There are three bathrooms in this home. The family bathroom on the first floor is huge with rich chocolate tiles, white wood panelling, a large modern freestanding bath and a built in sink with a mosaic tile surround. There is an ensuite with shower, sink and toilet attached to the master bedroom. On the ground floor is a fully tiled wet room with an open shower, toilet and built-in sink. The ground floor twin room has an adjoining WC and sink.

Living area

There are two lounge rooms off the entrance hall. The TV room to the left which is bright and contemporary with a corner couch and a palette of grey & yellow and the more traditional reading room with books, cosy seating to the right of the hall.

Kitchen

This new kitchen/diner is dominated by the refreshingly colourful tiles that give the minimal country style cream kitchen a quirky lift. The dining area seats eight and leads out into the split level garden. The kitchen has an electric oven & hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, steamer, coffee maker, kettle and a toaster.

Outside space

There is parking space and an al fresco dining area in the large courtyard through the side gate. The garden has many established trees, a lower concrete area great for ball games for kids and a high grassed area that backs on to the town park. Very unique to have so much space for a townhouse in central Dingle.

Location

The colourful fishing town of Dingle boasts many attractions and there is always something fun to do with cultural events throughout the year including food, music, film and arts festivals. The town is surrounded by natural beauty with beaches, mountains and rivers to explore.

With over 50 pubs in the town, there is always a bit of craic to be had and live music every night. Dingle was named Ireland’s Best Foodie Town in 2014 so food lovers will be in heaven! There are so many good restaurants especially serving freshly caught seafood it is hard to just name a few, but you’ll find some of our favourites on the Stay YNA App. The Dingle Food Festival takes place every year over the first weekend in October and attracts thousands of visitors for its taste trail, demonstrations, wine tasting, workshops and entertainment. There is also farmers market on Fridays with all the award winning local produce Dingle has to offer on sale.

Minimal Collection:

Enjoy open plan living with free-flowing spaces and unfussy furnishings. These homes take their inspiration from mid-century modernism with curved lines, wood and earthy shades of turquoise, rust, brown and olive greens. Contemporary influences are reflected in monochrome and grey backdrops with clean lines of concrete, glass and metal and pops of bright colour.
