A beautifully renovated, contemporary style, 1-bedroom apartment in the traditional streets of the Old Town. Alexandre Mari has been brought into the 21st century with the stylish use of glass, metal and crisp lines; not to mention the AC, heating, double glazing and a lift which all make this apartment a truly remarkable find in the Vieille Ville. Perfect for a city break, beach holiday, romantic getaway or a bit of space when visiting friends on the Riviera.
The superbly designed open-plan, L-shaped kitchen is housed under the mezzanine: it includes a full electric oven, four hobs, a toaster, cafetière, kettle and still plenty of space for cupboards
The sleeping space is a double bed on the elegant mezzanine with bedside tables and lamps both sides. A glass balcony keeps you secure while letting in light and there is a sturdy handrail for the steps, under which plenty of storage can be found.
The bathroom is fitted with a gorgeous Italian shower and suite, and fully tiled. There is also a washing machine and ironing equipment at your disposal.
Two large windows keep the living/dining area bright and luminous, a great place to kickback at the end of a day spent exploring. There is a wall-mounted TV, comfortable sofa, wifi and a music system to take care of your home entertainment needs. The area is quite spacious and also accommodates a dining table to seat four should you choose to eat in. There is a sofa bed also.
(If you wish to use the extra sleeping space provided, then the sofabed in the living room sleeps two. Please note, there is an additional cost for sofabed linen and towels which can be purchased when you book this property)
Alexandre Mari is in the heart of Nice Old Town without being directly above the hustle and bustle of bars and restaurants. You are just steps away from Cours Saleya, the central market place famous for its flower sellers, local produce markets and antiques on Mondays. It boasts an array of eateries for all tastes with streets leading off to the galleries, boutiques, ice cream parlours and churches which make up the charm of this part of the city. Through the arches you will see the ubiquitous palm trees which line the beach which is just 200m from your front door, with azure seas for that perfect holiday touch.
Parking is restricted in the Old Town but there is a carpark directly opposite the entrance to the building: Parking Corvesy.
This area is very convenient for public transport. Buses from the airport go straight along the Promenade and stop at Albert 1er/Phocéens less than a 5-minute walk away. Your closest tram stop (Opéra-Vieille Ville) is only 180 m from your front door, taking you to Nice Ville station for trains to Italy in the east and Cannes to the west.
