Potamos Yermasoyias is at the heart of Limassol’s tourist area and benefits from some of the city’s best beaches.
There is a small beach just in front of the complex which leads onto the popular Dasoudi Beach which is ideal for swimming and sunbathing and well equipped with sun beds, umbrellas (at a fee), restaurants, bars, showers and a children’s play area. There are also a number of water sports concessions along the beach offering diving, jet skiing, paragliding and more.
The area is also great for restaurants, bars and cafes. There is a popular taverna with live Greek music on Americanas Street as well as a small kiosk. On the main road, Georgiou A, there are a number of mini-markets and kiosks as well as gift shops etc. A 3 minute walk brings you to Christaki Kranou street where there is a 24-hour bakery selling a wide range of bread, cakes, savouries as well as essentials such as milk.
A large local supermarket can be found a 10-minute walk or short taxi ride away and a large Carrefour is located a 5-minute drive away.
Potamos Yermasoyias is a lively area all year round, popular with both visitors and locals. There is a small plaza 5-minutes’ walk away with a couple of restaurants and cafes. Getting around is very easy too, the beach path follows the length of the coast from Le Meridien Hotel in the East down to the old port and Marina to the West- around 15km in total. The number 30 bus follows the same route running every 5-10 minutes from 7am to 10pm and taxis can be hailed in the street.
