Celine is a gorgeous 1-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment to sleep up to 4 guests in the stunning historic Villa Belle Epoque. Now divided into separate apartments the villa has lost none of its original splendour, with a sweeping marble staircase, stained glass window and elegant moulded ceilings taking you up to the first floor. Once inside you are met with a spacious elegance to match the villa blended with the ease of contemporary fittings. A/C installation is not allowed in listed buildings such as this so each of the three main rooms has a portable unit to keep your stay as comfortable as possible.
The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped to help any budding chefs make the most of the local produce on sale across Nice and opens out on to the bright and airy dining area. Large French windows let in the famous Côte d’Azur light and the wooden floorboards combine to give a warm golden hue
The master bedroom with en-suite bathroom is spacious and luxurious with a large fitted wardrobe, ceiling fan and A/C unit to adjust to your ideal sleeping temperature, a king-size bed with reading lamps and tables on both sides.
There are two bathrooms one is en suite and the other is useful should there be extra guests using the very comfortable sofa bed. One has a shower cubicle the other a bath tub with shower fitting and they both have a toilet, basin and plenty of storage space.
The living room is spacious with two armchairs and a large sofa which converts to a comfortable double bed. There is a TV for home entertainment if needed and an A/C unit to suit all tastes and temperatures.
The prestigious Carré D’orneighbourhood is full of magnificent examples of Belle Epoque architecture including the legendary Hotel Negresco and runs west from the Old Town along the Promenade. Chic restaurants and cafés are not in short supply along rue de France which leads down to the luxury boutiques around the pedestrian area. It is a 350m stroll to the sea and in addition, two leafy gardens, Jardin Alsace-Lorraine and the gardens of the Museum Massena, are just a street away.
There are several carparks nearby. Try Parking Palace Massena at 29 Promenade des Anglais. On street parking is available but can sometimes be tricky to find a place.
Local buses pass close by in all directions: towards the centre and on to Nice Port on rue Bottero, and westwards on rue de la Buffa. More buses go in both directions along the seafront, including line 98 for the airport.
On Bld Gambetta the line 23 will take you to Nice Ville station for trains to Italy in the east and Cannes to the west, or alternatively it’s only a 12-minute walk.
