Dingle Sands is a super-cool house with modern rustic interiors that are characterised by the clever juxtaposition of old and new, this home stores stories. There is an upstairs lounge with windows that create a bright space making the most of the incredible views across the harbour to Dingle. Bring your binoculars to follow Fungie, our resident dolphin playing with the tour boats. With 5 bedrooms, three bathrooms, two lounges, a south facing sunroom and cosy underfloor heating, its the perfect place to unwind and enjoy everything the Peninsula has to offer. The home is just a five minute walk to the beach and there’s a beautiful coastal walk into Dingle town. Extremely family and pet friendly.
Dingle Sands has five bedrooms. Upstairs there is a large master bedroom with a large kingsize four poster bed and an ensuite with unique wooden bath, jet shower and sink. Also upstairs there is a double room with a desk and a baby room with a small bed/cot. Downstairs there are two children’s twin rooms that both have bunk beds and a cute little passage way between the two that kids love. The house sleeps 4 adults and 5 children but the baby room could have a camp bed added to accommodate another adult/child as there is only a small bed/cot in there. The bunk beds are ideal for children but are a too small to be comfortable for adults. It’s the perfect escape for one or two families.
There are three bathrooms in the home. The luxury downstairs bathroom has a gorgeous freestanding bath, double sinks and a steam shower with jets. The ensuite off the master bedroom also has a steam shower with jets, toilet, sink and a unique wooden bathtub. Upstairs off the lounge is a toilet with sink.
There are two lounges in Dingle Sands. The downstairs lounge is the full length of the house with windows either end so bright and breezy. It has a contemporary corner couch around a vintage table, flat screen TV, wood burning stove and a piano. The upstairs lounge is dominated by its views of the harbour and the hills that surround Dingle town. It has a designer couch with vintage pieces and plenty of books to relax with.
We love this unique kitchen/diner with it’s individual units, a large modern centre counter, a distressed vintage dresser, free standing range with gas hob and electric oven, large metallic fridge, double belfast ceramic sink and wonderful curiosity cabinets. The dining area has contemporary sliding doors out onto the decking. There are large flagstone tiles throughout the house warmed by the underfloor heating.
There is a large utility room off the kitchen with a washing machine, tumble dryer, storage and the air source heat pump that feeds the underfloor heating to create constant cozy warmth in the house.
A sizeable south facing sunroom, with reclining chairs, a large wooden dining suite, a potting table and lots of lovely plants. This room is a pleasure to be in flooded with light and warm even in the winter months.
