Grey’s Lane Snug is a gorgeous, inviting three-bedroom cottage with traditional stonework, sash windows, an open fireplace and unique features that reflect Dingle’s local history and times gone by. A superb location close to Dingle’s illustrious harbour, just a stone throw away from all the attractions and amenities of the town yet tucked away on a quiet, residential street. The home is an excellent base from which to enjoy every aspect of Dingle. The interior has an open plan living area, separate kitchen/diner, three Bedrooms and a delightful courtyard with alfresco dining that catches the afternoon sun.

Three bedrooms on the first floor, the Master bedroom at the back of the house has spacious wardrobes, a wooden cot, lockers and bedside lamps. The other two bedrooms, a single and double overlook the town park with charming window seats with calming views, ideal for relaxing with a good book. All the bedrooms have plenty storage, fresh white bed linen and are decorated with eclectic framed pictures.

This cottage has a spacious, fresh white family bathroom full of light with a black and white harlequin tiled floor. There is a bath with an electric shower above it, a sink and a toilet.

Living Area

A unique little porch leads into the main living space, an open plan area with a snug lounge on one side with an open fireplace, flat screen TV and deep, cosy leather couches. On the other side, a stove, seating and a bookcase with games, DVDs and plenty of books from historical to fiction. The walls are adorned with framed prints which relate to the local region and its heritage. They include fascinating mementos from the movie Ryan’s Daughter which was filmed on the peninsula in the early 1970’s.

Kitchen and Dining Area

The kitchen is well equipped with two windows overlooking the courtyard. The dining area is framed by painted wood panelling and has a funky wooden table with lime green painted chairs. The facilities include an electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Café Mattino coffee maker, kettle and toaster, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Outside area

The kitchen leads out to a fully enclosed private courtyard to the rear of the house, a great spot for an evening aperitif or for soaking up the afternoon/evening sun.

Amazing house in the heart of Dingle. I couldn’t recommend staying here more.

Would rent it again

We stayed for ten days at this home. It was comfortable and cleverly decorated. Due to the unseasonably warm weather we were able to eat our breakfasts at the garden table instead of the table in the kitchen. The sunlit kitchen was very well appointed for cooking with good sets of plates and glassware for dining in—though several good restaurants nearby. The lounge space was darker and the coolest part of the house during the heatwave. The single bathroom was large and bright; the bedrooms had plenty of storage. Shelly handled special requests —crib for baby—to accommodate our travelers. Surprisingly quiet considering its centralized location. Would rent it again if our travels bring us back to Dingle!

Loved our week here!

Loved our week here. The apartment was exactly as we expected from the photographs and description. Being met and shown around was a nice touch along with the bottle of local wine. The place was very clean, comfortable. Perfect for a couple looking to enjoy Nice. Located in the old town just a 5 minute walk from the Promenade, public transits and some of the nicest restaurants in the area. We didn’t have a car but explored Nice, Monaco, Éze (both towns) and Villefranche-sur-Mer very easily and cheaply by bus. Our one tip would be if you’re planning to visit Éze Village by bus catch it from Vauban (first stop) as it fills up very quickly and go in the morning as the town gets very busy. We walked the Nietzsche trail (45 mins) down to Éze-sur-Mer and caught the much more frequent bus (#100) back to Nice. If you want lunch with outreagously good views book (essential) a table at Cheve d’Or Cafe Jardine. Not cheap but seriously 5 Star.
