You can walk right into the bustling heart of Killarney in just 5/10 minutes but you are on a beautiful, quiet residential street with no noise. You can also walk up to the Muckross House (national park) and to Ross Castle from the house. There is no need for a car to see Killarney if you are staying the Killarney Haven, as lots of arranged trips to Moll’s Gap, Gap of Dunloe, the lakes etc you can sign up for. It’s all on your doorstep! Saying that, Ireland has a poor public transport system and a car will make life easier and if you want to go further than Killarney, we would advise a car. There is a bus to Dingle Daily.
