Oyster Cottage – Classy & spacious House

This house was excellent
Posted on: 24/11/2016

This house was excellent for our needs. It was very spacious for us. We were two families staying for 5 nights. It is a bright and well-designed house that gave more than enough space for our requirements. It was also a warm and comfortable space that heated up easily, important for chilly spring evenings in Kerry! It had all the necessary amenities, such as multiple bathrooms, a utility room for laundry (important for families with children) and a great garden space, enough to kick the football around! The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, everything we needed for cooking everyday. It was also a spotlessly clean house and provided a sufficient amount of towels for us. The hosts were very accommodating and we were able to check-in a little early, as we arrived into Dingle earlier than planned. We were greeted by a friendly Phil, who made sure that we settled in without any problems. Our hosts also left some delicious local foods (a cheese/chutney, bread, eggs) for us. Clodagh was also very helpful when I needed to ask for some local information. It was ideally located for us. It is a quiet area. It is situated between Ventry and Dingle town and so was just a few minutes in the car both directions. Ventry beach is not far and provided another great location for morning/evening walks with the family. It is also a great location for discovering the beautiful Slea Head so we had stunning scenery, many beautiful beaches and historical sites within minutes. Dingle town is close and has many options for eating fresh fish and listening to traditional music. There is always a good atmosphere in this buzzing town. I know Dingle well and this house, for us, is the best location that we have stayed in as it was perfectly situated to get the best of everything! All in all, I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you!

Lovely cottage

The Oyster Cottage was very nice. We had a group of 8 adults and there was plenty of room. The cottage was also well organized and stocked with plenty of cooking utensils. It was also very clean which is always something that I appreciate when arriving after a long day of travel. I would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone wanting to visit Dingle.

Oyster Cottage is excellent.

We are a family of five who spent a two-week break in Oyster Cottage in July 2017. Everything about the house was great from start to finish. The house itself is bright, airy, very comfortable and well designed. It was very nicely furnished and with lovely touches throughout – pictures/pottery etc.  The beds were extremely comfortable and the bed linen crisp and white. It was spotlessly clean. There was plenty of space for all of us with two sitting rooms (lovely  to relax in if the weather was bad or after a day’s sightseeing), three bathrooms and a utility room. The kitchen was modern, well equipped and a pleasure to cook in. The solar panels worked a treat –  they provided hot water nearly all the time apart from the occasional wet and cloudy day where we resorted to the boiler. I loved the house and felt at home straight away.

The location between Dingle and Ventry was ideal for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way and to enjoy Dingle itself and surrounding area.

We received a very friendly welcome from the manager, Laura, who was most helpful.

I would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone looking for a very comfortable, quality base close to Dingle.

Oyster Cottage is a home from home

The Oyster Cottage is absolutely beautiful – both the house itself and the location. It is a well appointed, comfortable house with upscale modern furnishing. Even more appealing are the views of the Skellig Islands and the fact that it is less than a 5 minute drive to Ventry Beach. Dingle town is also 5 minutes. What we liked most was being so centrally located, but in a quiet scenic location at the same time. Furthermore, the cottage was very clean and Laura has left everything we would need for a nice breakfast. Our stay was so enjoyable- it was hard to leave!!

I look forward to returning again as soon as possible

We had a wonderful break in Dingle and hope to return very soon. We travelled as a family group of 2 adults, 5 kids and a dog. Oyster Cottage was superb. The house was immaculately clean and very well presented. The accomodation was spacious and the house has been very well designed. All the beds were extremely comfortable and we all loved the living area on the upper floor were the kids spend many happy hours playing Monopoly and watching TV. Oyster Cottage is in a perfect location for a family as it is only 5 minutes drive from Dingle and a 10 minute walk into Ventry village.
Yasmin was very helpful showing me around the house, and we really appreciate the ‘welcome basket’ of local produce.
The property was excellent and I would not hesitate to highly recommend Oyster Cottage and “STAYNA”.
