Poppy Lane is ideal for families or large groups as across the courtyard from Poppy Lane is Lily Lane, both situated in one of Ireland’s most popular holiday hotspots, Castlegregory. The holiday home is elegant and spacious. If you want to enjoy the comforts of home and all the features of a busy little holiday town without too much driving then this really is the choice for you…


The main bedroom looks out onto the square and has an ensuite bathroom with shower. There is a twin room with two single beds and great views of the fields and mountains. The smaller room has a set of bunkbeds. 


There is a toilet and sink downstairs off the hall. The main bathroom has a shower and bath. The ensuite has an electric shower.

Living Area

The living area is open plan with the tasteful lounge leading into the dining and kitchen area, great for socialising. There is a large wallmounted flatscreen TV, extremely comfortable couches and cosy open fire.


The wooden kitchen, also in the open plan area has a microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and electric oven. the dining table sits 6 to 8.

Already planning our third visit

This was our second holiday in Castlegregory and we were very happy with our accommodation, in fact we’re already planning our third visit! Last time, we stayed in a different cottage that was outside the village but this time, we wanted to be a bit closer to the restaurants/pubs/shop and this house was perfect for us as it’s only a 2 min walk from the middle of the village. We loved Tadgh Ogs bar, really charming, and of course the legendary Ned Natterjacks (this is the pub that has two fake legs sticking out of a big barrel that sits outside the front door) (good food too). The house was a 5 min walk from the beach and what a beach, I can see why they call it the Irish gold coast – beautiful golden sand with the mountains in the background, ahhh! The beach stretches for miles all the way round the peninsula and further along, there’s a windsurfing and surf school, plus inflatables in the sea for kids and also horseriding on the beach too. We had a great holiday.

The house was warm and well equipped with everything spick and span, we’ll rent it again if possible, thank you very much!

We had a great time in Clodaghs house. Great welcome with a lovely welcome pack of fresh bread, cheese, eggs…yummy. And loads of info on the local area. the living area was very spacious, even with 6 adults in the house. will be back

Poppy Lane was spotless and spacious. We were very impressed with our complimentary basket of goodies including maps and information along with fresh towels in all bedrooms!.
The house is roughly 5/7 minutes drive from the beach in the Maharees where we did watersports all weekend. There are numerous places to explore and a fab place for food is Spillane at the end of the Maharees. The food is just superb!! We were able to park cars up and walk to the main shop Spar and all pubs etc were all in walking distance. I would definitely recommend.

My sister & I recently stayed at this nice townhouse in Castlegregory. The place is nice and spacious. When we arrived, Teresa met us and provided us with a wonderful welcome package, with tea, coffee, milk and eggs. It was great to arrive after our long drive and know we could make some tea/coffee in the morning without having to run out to the store. As for the location, it is within walking distance of the small town, with a little grocery store nearby. When we stayed (late June), the sleepy little town wasn’t in full swing and it was a bit challenging to find a pub/cafe that was open in the evenings. Regardless, this was a great place to stay and explore the Dingle Peninsula, as well as take a tour of the Ring of Kerry. This great townhouse with a lovely back patio/courtyard was a nice place to stay and come home to with plenty of room to move around. Highly recommend!”

“This is a great option for a family stay. House is in a safe location within walking distance of some lovely restaurants. Didn’t have a bad meal in the entire week! House is very well maintained, all other amenities excellent. Would definitely recommend a visit here.”
