A spacious 2-bedroom top floor apartment, centrally located and with a lift to sweep you up to the superb views over the rooftops to the surrounding hills. Ideal for a family, two couples, or group of friends, this is the perfect place from which to discover the vibrant city of Nice.
There are balconies on both sides to make the most of the rooftop views. From the bedrooms you can sit out and look up to see the hills of Mont Boron and Nice observatory, and from the lounge there is a small balcony from which to watch the street life far below.
There are two bedrooms, one super king-size and one double, both have French windows opening onto a balcony on the quiet side of the building. The king-size has reading lamps, and a chest of drawers, and both have A/C and heating to keep you comfortable all year round.
The bathroom, which separates the two bedrooms, has a basin, shower unit and drawers for your toiletries, and there is a separate toilet for extra convenience.
The open plan kitchen/dining/living space gives a convivial atmosphere for cooking, eating or relaxing together. All in a slick, contemporary design, there is a table to seat 4 and a seating area to kick back in to enjoy the home entertainment (satellite and Apple TV with UK channels, hifi system with Ipod dock).
The superbly designed and fully equipped kitchen will make home catering a delight: it includes an electric oven, four hobs, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, cafetière, kettle and laundry equipment.
Just off the main shopping avenue of Jean Médecin this is really the heart of Nice; 2 minutes to the central square of Place Massena, 5 minutes to the Old Town, and less than 10 minutes to the beach, everything is on your doorstep. Restaurants, café terraces, shops of all persuasions, the fountains, gardens and play areas of the Promenade du Paillon and a dip in the Mediterranean are all just a hop and a skip away!
Parking is restricted in the centre of town but there is a carpark under Place Massena: Parking Indigo.
The tram system in Nice has recently developed and there are now 3 tram lines facilitating travel across the city and meeting up with the many buses. Line 2 (approx. 4:45 am to 1:10 am) connects the airport to many stops along the promenade and then onto the centre of Nice, the Old Town and the port. Line 1 (approx. 4:25 am to 1:25 am) meets line 2 on the main shopping avenue of Jean Médecin and then goes north to Nice Ville train station (Gare Thiers) and on through the market neighbourhood of Liberation, or in the opposite direction passing the Old Town, Place Garibaldi for the Bonaparte neighbourhood and onwards to the exhibition centre and the main hospital, Pasteur. Buy your tickets from machines on platforms before boarding: a one-way ticket costs €1.50 (bus/tram changes included up to 74 mins) or you can buy ten tickets for €10 and other passes. All tickets must be stamped onboard.
