Country Living, we love it! You can feel the sea breeze in the lush secluded garden, it is such a serene setting, pheasants pop in and out all day. The stunning white sand beach is just 500 m away and the laid back surf mecca of Castlegregory with its cool cafe’s only a short walk away by road or beach. The Cottage is a perfect blend of old and new with tradition features along side contemporary furnishings, it’s the perfect country cottage with five bedrooms and five bathrooms, sleeping 12 people. Cosy and quaint, it is as perfect for two people as it is for two families or a large group.  


Sands Cottage has five bedrooms all with ample storage and ensuite bathrooms. Downstairs there are two bedrooms, a kingsize room and a double room both with wardrobes and shower rooms. Upstairs there is a large family room with a queen size bed and a single bed that has a pull out bed underneath, sleeping four in total and there is a TV. Also upstairs are two twin rooms with an ensuite each. All the beds have good quality mattress and are dressed with fresh pressed white linen. The bedrooms upstairs have lovely view of the sea and mountains. 


There are five ensuite bathrooms in Sands Cottage and a downstairs toilet. The downstairs toilet is next to the kitchen, a bright room with painted wood paneling and a sink and toilet. The ensuite downstairs both have a shower, sink and toilet. There is a bath with a shower hose, sink and toilet in one of the ensuite off the twin rooms. The other two ensuite are attached to the other twins and family bedroom.  

Lounge / Diner

The open plan lounge/diner has a gorgeous colourful tweed mid-century corner couch, velvet cushions, chic lamps, a large desk, rocking chairs, walls adorned with local art work, a classic dresser full of electric trinkets and an open fireplace. There is a dark mahogany dining table with contemporary chairs.


The traditional country kitchen has an electric oven, electric hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is plenty storage and all the utensils you need to cook, bake and snack. 

Outside Space

The enclosed gardens are gorgeous with established plants and a long dramatic driveway, which is gated. There is a picnic table out the back.

Super place. Great communication and help. Great location. Lovely walk to beach and into the town. Owners let us have a late check out as no one coming in the next day which was a brilliant end to a lovely stay. We would happily recommend the house.”

Sands Cottage has 5 large bedrooms all en suite meant our 4 families all had their own space. The lounge was cosy and homely but quite stylish. The kitchen had everything that you could need. Set in a lovely garden there are views to the sea and you can walk to the village where there is a Spar and a range of other shops and restaurants.

Our group of 6 women simply loved the cottage and its location on Dingle Peninsula. The cottage was cozy and it perfectly suited us in terms of accommodations, location and amenities. It was easy to be in touch with Michael, our contact person, who addressed several of our questions as they arose.

Holy Cow was this place amazing! The coziest living room with fireplace and plenty of seats for friends and family. Beds are comfy and oh so clean. Full Kitchen, yes please 🙂 If you’re in the Dingle Peninsula, this is the place to stay. A short walk to the beach at the end of the road and only 30 min. drive to Dingle through the super cool Conor’s Pass. Couldn’t have asked for a better place.
