Ibiza is many things to people, to some it’s the world’s party capital but to others it’s so much more than an island filled with legendary clubs. Our exclusive Holiday Villas in Ibiza make the perfect base to enjoy the crystal clear, paradisiacal waters and its picturesque port city overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. This island is the perfect place to soak up some rays and make the most out of the Island this year before it returns to its party island next summer.

Here’s a little bit of history for you… Ibiza is part of the Balearic Islands, one of Europe’s prime island getaways. It was founded in 654 BC by the Phoenicians. The Island was aptly named after the Phoenician word ‘Iboshim,’ in honour of the God; Bes – a god of dancing and music.  In all the years that have followed, Ibiza has been invaded and conquered by many different people and it wasn’t until 1975, following the death of Dictator: Franco, the Island returned to Catalan speaking territory. Ibiza then grew as a major holiday destination. In 1999, UNESCO recognised and declared Ibiza Old Town (Dalt Vila) as a world heritage site.

So, whether you’re planning a family trip to this beautiful Island or a little getaway with some friends or your partner, then we’ve rounded up the best things you can still do to make the most out of this beautiful Island.

Beach clubs are the way forward this year

We know most iconic nightclubs such as Ushuaia and Hi Ibiza have closed their doors for the 2020 summer season and won’t reopen until 2021, but don’t worry you can still get a taste of the nightlife (or should we say day life) from some of our favourite beach clubs like Ocean beach and Cala Bassa beach club. There’s also a fabulous new beach club in town called ‘Bam bu Ku’ which is perfect for families, they even host their own family brunch on Sundays and did we mention they have their own surf wave riding machine?

Cala Bassa Beach Club – located on the most beautiful beach in Ibiza, with soft white sands, crystal clear waters and three individual restaurants to choose from. Day trips out

Formentera Island

A day trip here will leave you feeling like you’ve just visited the Caribbean. The beaches on Formentera are among some of the best in the world and if you’re looking for somewhere a little off the beaten track, then the deserted coves are the perfect spot. Snorkelling and diving are also very popular on the island due to the crystal-clear waters. How you can get to the main island you may ask? Take a ferry or boat trip from Ibiza town which will take you directly to Formentera’s port – La Savina.

Ibiza town

No holiday to Ibiza is complete without exploring the Islands famous historical Old town. Ibiza town – otherwise known as Dalt Vila is a UNESCO world heritage site taking you back 2500 years of fascinating history.  During the 16th and 17th centuries the islands suffered continuous Ottoman pirate attacks. Walls and towers were built, surrounding the Dalt Vila. Ibiza Old town is also a great place to wonder around and get lost around the narrow cobbled streets.
