A week celebrating traditional music in Ballyferriter village. Scoil Cheoil an Earraigh (The Spring Music School) takes place over the course of a week. There are daily classes in a variety of instruments, from fiddle to harp, where musicians practice traditional tunes of the area—but Irish-speaking and a good level of musical proficiency is required. However, anyone can enjoy the sessions taking place every night in the local pubs, and the quality of the musicians is very special during this week.
