Location
Along the leafy avenues and boulevards that characterise this area, you’ll find numerous Belle Époque villas and ornate apartment buildings surrounded by lush and exuberant gardens. The hill is crowned by Le Régina completed in 1897 and built to satisfy the demands of Her Majesty who honoured Nice with her presence for the next three springs. Matisse also enjoyed the open vistas and a museum in his memory is located close to the Roman amphitheater and Franciscan monastery close to the park Arènes des Cimiez. Don’t miss the breath-taking views out over the Bay of Angels from the lovingly tended gardens.
