A small balcony equipped with table and a chair opens out from the living room, just right for breakfast or an aperitif alfresco. North-facing, it is cool in summer and a perfect place from which to watch the street life below.
The bedroom is a tasteful mix of contemporary chic with some vintage details. A comfortable super-king-size double bed takes pride of place with matching wall-mounted reading lamps, bedside tables, ceiling to floor curtains and a large cupboard for storage.
Stone, chrome and white, the bathroom has been handsomely refitted and boasts a spacious rain shower, heated towel rail, plenty of storage and a washer/dryer to meet your laundry requirements.
Living and dining area
The living space provides a stylish area to sit back in and relax. Two large windows, an inviting smoky-blue sofa, plus plenty of entertainment options including TV, Amazon Prime, Netflix, DVD, high-tech Samsung sound system and some old-fashioned vinyl! There is a beautiful, wooden dining table for intimate dining chez vous, although the variety of restaurants in the area may tempt you to dine out.
When not in use the exquisitely designed and perfectly fitted kitchen sits quietly and unobtrusively in its corner. But when called for it has spot lights and includes an electric oven, 3 hobs, dishwasher, toaster, tea and coffee-making equipment to add to the comfort of your stay.
A hop and a skip from Place Garibaldiand the delightful neighbourhood of rue Bonaparte with its pavement cafés and excellent eateries; this will suit both first time visitors to Nice and those coming back to explore some more. Place Garibaldiis on the edge of the Old Town, below the Colline du Chateauand is a link between the more well-known tourist centre of Nice and the up and coming Port neighbourhood. Perfect for boat lovers, boutique lovers and those looking for some bar hopping.
Street parking is available but can be competitive. However, there are several carparks within easy walking distance. Try Vinci Park Services at Place Arson, or Parking Promenade des Arts.
The tram system in Nice has recently developed and there are now 3 tram lines facilitating travel across the city and meeting up with the many buses. Line 3 (approx. 4:23am to 0:45am) connects the airport to the Alliance Riviera stadium, National Museum of Sport and St Isidore shopping centre. Line 2 (approx. 4:45 am to 1:10 am) connects the airport to many stops along the promenade and then onto the centre of Nice, the Old Town and the port. Line 1 (approx. 4:25 am to 1:25 am) meets line 2 on the main shopping avenue of Jean Médecin and then goes north to Nice Ville train station (Gare Thiers) and on through the market neighbourhood of Liberation, or in the opposite direction passing the Old Town, Place Garibaldi for the Bonaparte neighbourhood and onwards to the exhibition centre and the main hospital, Pasteur. Buy your tickets from machines on platforms before boarding: a one-way ticket costs €1.50 (bus/tram changes included up to 74 mins) or you can buy ten tickets for €10 and other passes.
