Secret Garden is in the area of Quartier Etoile which is a wonderfully central location. Walk out of your door and the main shopping area is very close by with its high street and designer boutiques. An array of restaurants, both modern and traditional is on your doorstep and the more tourist centre of the Old Town is a few minutes’ walk away. The restaurant Flaveur, which was just awarded 2 Michelin stars, is half block away. The beach and promenade are 10 minutes away by foot and public transport is excellent and within close proximity.

Opposite the front of the apartment, a new underground station, “Station Durandy,” for the second tram line in Nice is almost completed. The major part of the construction (which is performed only during working hours on weekdays) is finished, and currently the noise of construction is less than the regular street noise which is all blocked by the beautiful double glazed floor to ceiling windows in the living area. When completed in July 2019 (although please be aware this could overrun the expected finishing date), the green neighbourhood park will be restored to it’s former glory.

Outside Space 

A stunning private 40m2 tiled garden leads out from the master bedroom. The owner has planted flower beds, with climbing plants as well as flowers, all around and these are irrigated. There are chaises longues, other chairs, a picnic table with six chairs and umbrella, on this private garden.

It is a very special peaceful and rare area in the heart of the city! 


Two large bedrooms at the rear of the apartment, not near any traffic, will ensure a peaceful night’s sleep. The colourful master room has a king size bed, a ceiling fan and oceans of storage space. It also leads out into the secret garden! The second bedroom is of equal size and has twin beds, a ceiling fan and plenty of storage space. It also has an additional (22”) TV c/w DVD (English and French channels) for private viewing by the kids – or the adults!

Both of the bedrooms can be heated or air-conditioned by newly installed Mitsubishi outdoor units, which allow guests to set the temperature desired for each bedroom.


There are two bathrooms, one with a full-size bath and overhead shower, vanity unit and toilet. The other bathroom has a shower room, a toilet and sink unit.

Living Area

The living area is at the front of the apartment. It is decorated in a combination of provincial and modern style with a mixture of original contemporary and traditional art – paintings and an amazing sculpture commissioned for the apartment, in the niche. There are two ceiling fans creating a cool breeze throughout the apartment. The lounge area has a large comfortable sofa and two casual chairs, a 32” TV (English & French channels), Internet/WIFI access, DVD and CD player. For music lovers, there is even a Yamaha Clavinova digital piano with headphones.

Double glazed windows provide a generally uniform temperature throughout the apartment: alternatively, in the evening, the ceiling fans with open windows create a delightful breeze.


The spacious and exceptionally well-equipped kitchen has everything you could possibly wish for and more. At your disposal is a four-ring electric hob and oven, microwave, free standing fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, iron and ironing board, coffee machine and expresso maker, toaster, kettle and a vast array of pots and pans and provençal dishes to rustle up a feast.

Dining Area

Choose to eat at either the large six seater table in the spacious dining area or in the secret garden.


Public Transport

The 98 airport bus runs from the Airport through the centre of Nice and terminates in Riqiuer. Bus stop ‘Cathédrale – Vieille Ville’ by the Old Town is your nearest bus stop. It is approximately a 5-minute walk away from the apartment. Gare SNCF Nice Ville train station is a 15-minute walk. If you are using the tram, your nearest stop at the present time is ‘Jean Médecin’ outside of Nice Etoile shopping centre. When Line 2, originating at the airport, is completed, an underground tram stop will be directly opposite the apartment! Visit for more information. The apartment is nice and well-equipped, spacious enought for 4 people. The location is great – close to the old Nice, place Massena, kind of shopping street and train station. Local manager met us in the apt, showed everything we may needed. No complaints at all, everything was perfect.

Very professional and forthcoming communication. Apartment totally lived up to expectations and was absolutely perfect for us (2 adults and a 3 year old) with both shopping, take away and nice playgrounds close by. The "garden" in itself is a little gem. Highly recommended.

It was great having basics in the fridge, thank you. Love the neibourhood very much. We did lovely walks and walking distance to museum, barm restaurants, beautiful cobbled street alleys, friendly locals, lovely balcony and courtyard garden.

"We enjoyed the apartment very much. The location is within walking distance to the bus station, post office, grocery, boulangerie, Old Town, Place Massena,etc. Very quiet at night. The kitchen was very well equipped. We did like L’Ovale, Maison de Marie, Wilson’s winebar, and many more restaurants. I would recommend this apartment very highly. We were given a warm welcome with lots of information regarding the apartment and Nice."

An excellent apartment! It is very conveniently situated with a park across the road. The garden is amazing — what a joy to eat a lazy breakfast of fresh croissants and bread in a secluded sunny place! It is an easy walk to the old town with all its interesting shops and great restaurants. There is a suupermarket within five minutes walking distance and several bakeries close by. The bedrooms are very comfortable and it is a luxury to have two shower rooms. The kitchen is well equipped and if you don’t fancy cooking from scratch there is a fab frozen food store just along the road! Don’t forget that you can go anywhere for 1 euro on the bus — even all the way to Monaco or St Paul de Vence! All in all a great place to stay in Nice and I’m sure I will return to this apartment.

My family and I rented the Secret Garden apartment this August in the Etoile area of Nice. We really enjoyed this apartment, it was spacious, light and well equipped, furnished in a tradional style with many interesting paintings of the Côte d’Azur. The garden was a special bonus and it was great to be able to eat, drink and socialise outside amongst the plants. Another bonus, especially for my musician son was an electric piano which guests can use. The apartment looks out onto gardens belonging to one of the municipal libraries and this view from the living room was very pleasing. The location of the apartment was excellent, the beach, the port, the main shopping streets, the old town of Nice and so much more were in walking distance. It was very easy dealing with Your Nice Apartments, everything went according to plan and I would certainly recommend this apartment for a family or friends who are planning to holiday in Nice.

We had a great short break in Nice. The apartment was large, very clean and in a brilliant location, within walking distance to Old Town, public transport, Plaza Messena and Promenade. Lovely garden to have breakfast or lunch. There’s a large supermarket and boulangerie close by. Welcome basket with wine, coffee and biscuits was much appreciated. 

We travelled to Eze Medieval Village and then on to Monaco, also Saint Paul De Vence and then on to Cannes another day. Public transport very cheap €1.50 per journey but you can get a day pass for €5, but that won’t cover trip into Monaco, it was €1.50 I think.

We had a couple of nice meals in 2 restaurants in a little street off Place Rossetti, The Old Town,  La Bouchon Provencal and the one opposite. We were entertained by ‘Brazillian’ acrobats on both nights!

Would recommend highly.

Classy apartment

A classy, well equipped apartment that is perfectly located. We have stayed in other areas of Nice previously, usually towards the Promenade des Anglais. Rue Pastorelli is away from the tourist area and gives a sense of experiencing the ‘real’ Nice with its local butcher and excellent boulangerie/patisserie. Yet a 5 to 10 minute walk put us right in the heart of the old town.


Why should you rent this apartment?

The garden is magical and such an open, private space is hard to find among Nice rentals. Great for a lazy lunch.

The location is perfect for all your needs.

The little enclosed park opposite the property is a delight. We loved watching all the dogs and their owners greeting each other in the evenings. And on Sunday morning there was an informal car boot sale set up by enterprising locals.

The apartment is very comfortable and well equipped if you want to stay in to eat.

The agent who welcomed us to the property could not have been more helpful.


We are certainly going to book it again.

This is a very comfortable and clean apartment in a nice residential area, away from the crowded city center but very close to all major points of interest. The location is very convenient and close to the beach (15 min walk), railway station, old historical Town Center, and several museums. There are many grocery stores and bakeries around, in addition to nice restaurants. The apartment is air-conditioned, with a well-equipped kitchen and washing machine. It is nicely decorated, with many tasteful paintings and watercolors. From the very first moment you feel at home. The local manager was very helpful in arranging the stay and suggesting several interesting sites to visit. Overall my stay in the apartment was outstanding.

we enjoyed our visit. This was our 9th visit to Nice with Stay YNA and our fifth stay in The Secret Garden – so I guess we must be happy!

We had really good pre- visit communications from Gosia (local host), and were met at the apartment. She showed us around the flat, which was clean and tidy. The wine, crisps and coffee were very welcome and a nice touch.The apartment was great, roomy and in a great location.Fresh towels, toiletries and cleaning packs are there as expected. So very positive first impressions.We felt that if we had a problem, we could contact someone and they would help. The tram is fantastic and we used it in / out to airport. The wine bar below is great, well run and friendly. Supermarket around corner, with baker on corner. 10 minutes walk to old town and beach too. Overall, We had a great time.
