Outside space
Two floors above the rue de France, one of the main shopping streets, the 15m2 balcony gives you plenty of opportunity for watching the street life below, sipping an aperitif, or simply relaxing. There is seating for up to 6 people so why not dine alfresco to benefit from the Riviera’s celebrated climate.
Bedrooms
Lumière offers two double bedrooms, both with French windows opening out onto the balcony. They have wall-mounted bedside lamps, plenty of storage and benefit from air conditioning for sultry summer nights.
Bathrooms
There are 2 bathrooms one with a mosaic detail shower has an additional rain shower attachment for extra indulgence, and there is a basin with storage unit to keep things tidy, there is another shower room with sink and a separate toilet.
Living and dining area
The Matisse-inspired living area has two armchairs, a sofa bed, and south-facing French windows to welcome in the sunshine. For home entertainment there is a TV with French and English channels, a DVD player, music system and wifi. The dining area fits neatly between the open-plan kitchen and lounge, with a large dining table to comfortably seat to up 7 people.

Lumière has a stylish and fully-equipped kitchen including a Nespresso coffee Machine, offering you the convenience of a dishwasher and microwave, as well as an electric oven with 4 hobs. There is also a washing machine and laundry equipment.

Location
The Carré D’or, or Golden Square, is the Belle Epoque quarter of the city. Grand apartment buildings, ornate façades and echo’s of the city’s late 19th century heyday abound. Less than a 2-minute walk to the beach and you can stroll along the Promenade des Anglais past the magnificent Hotel Negresco, still the place to see and be seen. Today this much sought-after, largely residential neighbourhood offers a wealth of local shops, with butchers and bakers among the many local conveniences, and no end of cafés and restaurants to choose from.

Public transport
The tram system in Nice has recently developed and there are now 3 tram lines facilitating travel across the city and meeting up with the many buses. Line 3 (approx. 4:23am to 0:45am) connects the airport to the Alliance Riviera stadium, National Museum of Sport and St Isidore shopping centre. Line 2 (approx. 4:45 am to 1:10 am) connects the airport to many stops along the promenade and then onto the centre of Nice, the Old Town and the port. Line 1 (approx. 4:25 am to 1:25 am) meets line 2 on the main shopping avenue of Jean Médecin and then goes north to Nice Ville train station (Gare Thiers) and on through the market neighbourhood of Liberation, or in the opposite direction passing the Old Town, Place Garibaldi for the Bonaparte neighbourhood and onwards to the exhibition centre and the main hospital, Pasteur. Buy your tickets from machines on platforms before boarding: a one-way ticket costs €1.50 (bus/tram changes included up to 74 mins) or you can buy ten tickets for €10 and other passes. All tickets must be stamped onboard.
